All-On-4® Treatment Concept

At Reno-Tahoe Oral Surgery & Dental Implant Center, we are all about offering our patients the very best in tooth replacement options. For many years the only permanent tooth replacement options available were dental bridges and crowns, but they could only replace a few teeth at a time, and required at least a few healthy anchor teeth to be successful. Dentures were the only solution for those who experienced full tooth loss, and while dentures do a decent job of restoring the form and function of your real teeth, they are quite lacking in comfort and full tooth replacement. The All-On-4® Treatment Concept gives our patients who have experienced full tooth loss a fantastic and permanent full arch tooth replacement option.

How Tooth Loss Can Affect You

When you lose teeth, you tend to lose the ability to eat without discomfort, to speak without affect, and to feel confident about your smile. The result is often a significant impact on your overall quality of life. When you experience tooth loss, it is important to replace your teeth right away to avoid these issues that can negatively impact your life.

It is also important to replace your teeth to help you maintain your oral health. The loss of a single tooth can easily lead to the loss of other teeth. Tooth loss leads to bone loss in the jaw, which can easily result in further tooth loss. It’s a dangerous cycle that can be mitigated with the help of dental implant restorations. The All-On-4® Treatment Concept is one of these dental implant restorations.

What is The All-On-4® Treatment Concept?

All-On-4 is an implant supported restoration option that gives us a way to anchor what amounts to a set of permanently affixed dentures to both the top and bottom arches of your mouth. Both of these arches are anchored in your mouth permanently with the help of four dental implants that are strategically placed to give the arches a strong foundation.

The All-On-4® Treatment Concept Procedure

When you decide that you would like to replace your teeth with The All-On-4® Treatment Concept we will schedule a no obligation consultation with you to determine whether or not you are a good candidate for the procedure. We will take some digital impressions and X-rays of your mouth to determine if you have suffered significant bone loss (which we can fix with the help of bone grafting).

Once we have built a treatment plan for you, we can begin the process of placing the dental implants. This is a surgical procedure where we will place the implants into your jaw bone to act as the foundation of the implant restoration. Once placed we will allow the implants several months to heal and integrate into your jaw bone through a process known as osseointegration.

Once the implants have healed, we can place the teeth restorations onto the implant posts and affix them permanently with a long-lasting dental adhesive.

Please call us today at Reno-Tahoe Oral Surgery & Dental Implant Center to schedule your appointment! We look forward to seeing your smile!
