A mouth guard is a device that is worn inside the mouth and around the teeth. The main purpose of this device is to provide protection for the teeth and jaws.

It is primarily known for its function in protecting athletes when they are engaged in sports that could potentially cause injuries. It is also worn by patients with Bruxism to facilitate the movement of the jaws, alleviate symptoms, and reduce the risk of serious complications.

A custom mouth guard is designed specifically for the individual who wears it. The dentist takes an impression of your mouth and designs a device that will fit more closely around your teeth. For athletes, this can provide more comfortable, especially for those involved in high contact sports.

A generic device may cause discomfort because it is not designed for specifically for your mouth. These devices are usually bulkier and may cause breathing difficulties because they require the jaw to be shut to remain in place.

A fitted mouth guard can also prevent injuries for athletes. A custom-made device can absorb direct impact more effectively, thereby minimizing the effect of the impact around your mouth.

This is a condition that is characterized by constant grinding of the teeth. This is a fairly common disorder that affects approximately 8% of the population.

Managing Bruxism can be difficult. We recommend the use of mouth guards to give your teeth greater protection and manage the condition.

A custom fitted device will help to protect your enamel and prevent further damage to your teeth. They are often made from materials such as soft rubber and acrylic to stop you from grinding.

It also provides protection between your lower and upper teeth to prevent clenching. The device will eliminate muscle pain caused by clenching and grinding of teeth.
