A dental implant is surgically placed on the jawbone making it critical to get the help of a professional who specializes in this field. Many dentists in the Reno-Tahoe area are willing to perform dental implant surgery, but only oral surgeons have gone to medical school. This extra education ensures you receive the highest level of care.

Following the placement of your dental implants, it may take as long as five months for the implants to heal in place and fuse with the surrounding jawbone. You will have a temporary replacement tooth during this time, ensuring a seamless and natural-looking smile.

Studies have shown that dental implants are nearly as strong as your natural teeth and are far stronger than any other method of tooth replacement. Once fully healed, your implants will enable you to enjoy all your favorite foods as normal.

Obtaining your dental implant usually involves a three-part process after our Reno-Tahoe team has evaluated and concluded that you are a prospect. This three-part process can take several months but guarantees you receive implants that are strong and properly positioned.
